THE RHODE ISLAND SCHOOL OF DESIGN

C A S E S T U D Y

THE BRIEF

The Rhode Island School of Design, one of the nation’s most prestigious fashion design institutions, began to rethink ways in which their talented designers could gain more industry exposure from the school’s iconic year-end RISD Fashion Show, which had remained tucked away in Providence, RI, since the school’s founding in 1877.

THE WORK

CAD sought to present the historic institution with more urban exposure in which their hub of talent could compete amongst some of NYC’s premier fashion institutions such as Parsons and FIT. CAD Management worked with the institution to not only bring its fashion show to the Big Apple, but further helped the institution stand out from the competition with an innovative digital and live event strategy. Over the course of two years, CAD Management assisted in building two NYFW shows in conjunction with KCD and David Stark Designs, bringing in over 600 attendees between the two shows. The success of the partnership resulted in driving over 40 pieces of top tier media coverage earning over 60M impressions.
